First Island and Player Flow

Create an island, begin on the OneBlock, progress through tiers, and use essential player actions.

v1.0·Minecraft 1.21.11·Paper·Java 21

Creating an island

With built-in menus enabled, /ob opens the island panel. A player without an island can use its creation item or run /ob create. When menus are disabled, /ob teleports to an existing island and applies creation rules if none exists.

A new overworld island starts with the OneBlock only. No surrounding grass platform is generated. The player is placed safely above the center. The optional support block below the OneBlock is disabled by default.

Breaking the first block

For each valid OneBlock break, the plugin:

  1. Resolves the island and verifies access.
  2. Increments shared island and personal progress counters.
  3. Selects the current tier from total island breaks.
  4. Evaluates mob and crate events.
  5. Selects a weighted block when neither event replaces the result.
  6. Restores the center in the same processing flow.
  7. Refreshes progress displays and placeholder snapshots.

The first included tier favors materials that can be broken without a stone pickaxe. Stone and ores begin at lower probabilities. The generator is not intentionally left as air for a full tick, reducing the chance of the player falling through it.

Essential actions

  • /ob home returns to the saved island home.
  • /ob sethome changes the owner-controlled home position.
  • /ob status displays tier and break progress.
  • /ob level reports island level and requests recalculation when needed.
  • /ob blocks opens the configured block-value reference.
  • /ob top displays the island-level ranking.
  • /ob nether and /ob end enter linked dimensions.
  • /ob language opens language selection.

Void rescue

Void rescue is enabled by default. When a player falls below the configured Y threshold in a managed world, they are returned to their island's safe center. A cooldown prevents teleport loops. /ob home behavior also targets the safe position directly above the OneBlock.

Deleting and recreating

/ob delete starts a time-limited confirmation. /ob delete confirm must match the same player and island. Deletion is irreversible without a backup. Recreation cooldown and Vault cost are configured separately and default to zero, allowing immediate free recreation after the island record has been released.
